  • If there is one person that impressed me during my time at working with CITD was Bronwen Madden. Her open personality always willing to help and her deep knowledge and understanding of the international trade forces are strong assets that you can find only in few people throughout your business life. I have the highest opinion of Bronwen as a professional and as a person.

  • I had the pleasure to work with Bronwen at the Los Angeles Regional Export Council. Her leadership skills and knowledge of international trade issues helped the organization thrive. Bronwen brought fresh and innovative ideas and proposals to the organization. At the same time, she balanced the various interests of the many organizations and agencies involved with LARExC. She is the utmost professional and has a brilliant mind.

  • Bronwen is one of the greatest professionals I've ever worked with. She possesses all the skills necessary to be successful in the business world.
Olevia Yim, Sr. Specialist at U.S. Government
  • I have worked with Bronwen for the past seven years in the international trade community in Los Angeles. Bronwen has been an excellent local partner for the US Department of Commerce - US Commercial Service. She is knowledgeable in all areas of exporting and has built a solid reputation as a resource for small and medium sized companies. She has been a reliable partner that is able to deliver for clients under the most difficult budget circumstances. Over the past several years, Bronwen has been able to develop creative solutions for assisting California companies with exporting. She has managed websites, used innovative technologies for collaboration, and implemented training programs and workshops to inform and educate companies. Bronwen is a key partner for the US Commercial Service with the California STEP, a fund that assists small and medium sized companies with offsetting the cost of participating in foreign trade shows. I have worked with Bronwen on the Hong Kong Food Expo(2012) and the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (2012, 2013) to fund California company's participation in the shows. Bronwen was accessible to the companies and worked to insure that companies were prepared to participate in a foreign trade show and take advantage of all the government resources that are at their disposal during the exhibitions. I recommend Bronwen for any position that would entail her developing a strategy to increase the global footprint of a company or serve as a director for a government funded program that assist businesses with entering global markets.

  • While a student at the University of Missouri, I interned at the State of Missouri's Department of Economic Development, Division of Business Development and Trade, under the supervision of Bronwen Madden. Despite being an undergraduate intern, Bronwen treated me as a regular work colleague empowering me to go beyond my normal tasks in order to get a broader experience out of an internship. Bronwen is an encouraging and inspiring leader who continued to serve as a close friend and mentor after my internship. If it weren't for Bronwen's encouragement, I would not have had the guts (or courage) to pursue a dream of serving in the U.S. Foreign Service (I currently serve in the U.S. Foreign Service). Lastly, her most impressive quality is her ability to innovate to make the office run more efficiently and more effectively. Bronwen is a natural leader, teacher, and mentor.
